Jehoiada - An Introduction: Part 1

Six men in the Old Testament section of the number one, best-selling book in the history of mankind, held the name, Jehoiada.  Hello to all.  I’m Paul Schneidmill and I’d like to introduce you to the one of those six who made a distinct and profound impression upon me when I first learned about him.  He’s the second one found in the chronology of Biblical history.  This Jehoiada was a priest who served God during the reign of Queen Athaliah (the only ruling queen in either of the Hebrew, Old Testament kingdoms) and King Joash.  This priest demontrated immense courage by taking charge of a difficult situation that ultimately preserved the lineage of King David.  During the reign of King Joash, Jehoiada served God and the kingdom by living and teaching an exemplary character that powerfully influenced the king, while simultaneously was instrumental in helping restore the nation of Judah, and its temple of worship, to its former glory.  In my next submission, I hope to share more of who Jehoiada was and why I’ve dedicated this site to him.  Thanks for reading!
