Needed: An Awakening in America
A lot has transpired since the last time we met here; so much so that I wasn’t certain where I wanted to pinpoint my writing/sharing focus.
Here’s a short list of what I mean:
A U.S. vice-presidential selection was made for the Republican Party; the unfortunate posturing and attack advertisements by each presidential candidate increased; Islamic terrorists continued their efforts to convert the world to Islam via killing people; a tropical storm did significant damage to sections of the hemisphere; my 80-year-old dad was hospitalized; a well-deserved and honorable memorial was dedicated to the victims of the Pentagon during the cowardly attacks made by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001; my daughter turned 13, and a hurricane devastated the gulf coast and other areas.
Now, a recent statement I heard made by the Democratic presidential nominee was a cause of great concern for me. In this statement, he remarked that there were no terrorists in Iraq and never had been – that terrorists were in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
You’ll forgive me (or not), but I’m significantly concerned when I hear an individual who is vying strongly to be the leader of the freest and most prosperous and productive nation on the planet, which includes becoming the Commander-in-Chief of my country’s Armed Forces; clearly convey that he is unaware of where distinctly determined and emphatically identified enemies of my homeland currently reside.
Additionally, I’m significantly concerned because I’m aware that he is not alone in the U.S. of A. per his misinformed assessment.
Even if there were no “terrorists” in Iraq as many Americans believe (though any American service-member that has served or is currently serving in Iraq could validate otherwise), it is sad that many Americans are unaware that there are terrorists of the Islamic persuasion living and working diligently to advance their demented cause right here within the land of the free and the home of the brave. And if we as a nation fail to have an awakening to this fact, we may be opening ourselves up to becoming the land of the grieved and the home of the enslaved.
One vital piece of information I gladly offer to Americans concerned with preserving our national freedoms (as well as to the Democratic presidential nominee) that will give credence to the fact that Islamic terrorists live, work and plot in the U.S. today as we speak, concerns the “subtle” efforts the Islamic terrorism agenda is using to undermine our educational institutions.
For several years, Saudi Arabia (the home of origin for 18 of the 19 Islamic terrorists that highjacked American airplanes and killed thousands in the September 11, 2001 terrorist acts on American soil) has made significant donations to numerous American universities (many prestigious ones) using the petroleum dollars America and other nations have paid them to slake the ravenous-human thirst for oil. These “donations” have “bought and paid for” programs (and in some cases, segregated communities – like the one at Georgetown University) that teach extremism and hate for America and Israel and all things western under the guise of tolerance and unity for Middle Eastern (particularly Arabic) culture, history, society and woes.
This is a terrorist tactic organized and managed by terrorists, pure and simple, right under our noses within our shores.
America needs an awakening regarding awareness of our internal threats that are openly and verbally affirmed often and continuously. This awakening cannot and must not be overshadowed by our other societal issues and concerns, current or otherwise. Because if our freedoms and way of life are undermined and destroyed from within; other concerns really won’t matter.
At a minimum, we need our wanna-be national leaders to wake up to who and where our enemies are…after all, if there really are no terrorists in Iraq, it ought to be a nice, safe and wonderful place to live and visit.
